Ceredigion food festivals are a great opportunity to taste local produce, meet the producers, and have some fun! Check the events section for festival details, including these main summer food festivals.

Cardigan Quays Beer Festival - Friday 23 and Saturday 24th June

The Cardigan Beer Festival celebrates the best of craft beers from Wales, many of them local. The quayside setting in Cardigan is full of atmosphere with roaring fires, great food from the smokehouse and pizza oven and music live on site as well as livestreamed from the Glastonbury Festival.

Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival, Aberaeron - Sunday 9th July

Aberaeron's Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival is one of the highlights of the Welsh foodie calendar. Locals and visitors alike flock to the Aberaeron quayside to taste seafood dishes prepared by well known chefs, enjoy oysters and champagne or mackerel sandwiches, and to shop for local produce and crafts. Children enjoy the crabbing competition along the harbour wall.

Lampeter​ Food Festival - Saturday 29th July

The campus of University of Wales Trinity St David's is the lovely setting for the Lampeter Food Festival Meet local producers, taste fantastic produce and enjoy the food, drink, herbs and craft stalls gathered under the shade of trees. Music fills the air around the fountain in the college quad whilst local and celebrity chefs share their tips and secrets in the ever popular demonstration tent.

Aberaeron Beer and Cider Festival - Friday 11th August

Hosted by Aberaeron Yacht Club, the Aberaeron Beer and Cider Festival is one of the food and drink highlights of the colourful harbour town. Sample a range of welsh ciders and beers and enjoy live music from noon and entertainment until late.

Cardigan River and Food Festival - Saturday 12th August

Held on the quayside at Cardigan, the Cardigan River and Food Festival combines activities and fun on the river Teifi with a full programme of live music, cookery demonstrations, childrens' activities and an array of food and craft stalls. The festival site is perfect for seeing Teifi river coracles and cheering on the competitors in the river races. You can also take to the water yourself with a boat ride.

Aberystwyth Sea 2 Shore Festival - Sunday 13th August

Aberystwyth Promenade is the setting for the annual Aberystwyth Sea2Shore Food Festival. With all kinds of stalls and activities you can enjoy tasty treats at cookery demonstrations by fish experts and local hotel chefs; watch Aberystwyth surf lifesaving club members go through their paces, marvel at the casting demonstrations and the delicate art of fly-tying; also enjoy the award winning Aberystwyth Farmers Market food stalls, art and craft stalls and children's craft activities; Competitions include the Aberystwyth World crab championships.

Aberystwyth Food Festival - September

Aberystwyth's annual autumn food festival - held on Baker Street in the centre of the town - is a lively celebration of food and drink, with favourite food stalls from the award winning Aberystwyth Farmers market plus live music, craft stalls and childrens entertainment.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre Christmas Food Fair- November

Get in the mood for Christmas and stock up with seasonal gastronomic goodies at the Christmas Food Fair at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. The Fair is a great opportunity to meet the producers of luscious chocolates, cakes and jams, artisan cheeses, home-made pickes and chutneys and lots more!

Lampeter Beer and Cider Festival - February

A warm and friendly festival celebrating beers, ciders and lagers from all over Wales, including new and local brews. Held on the Lampeter campus of the University of Wales Trinity St David.
