See Tresaith's waterfall from the shore

At Tresaith, the Afon Saith reaches the coast by falling over the cliffs beside the beach. The waterfall gives the bay a distinctive focal point, but the amount of exposed shore changes with the tide. View it from a suitable distance and keep clear of cliff edges and the base of unstable rock.

The story of seven arrivals

Local folklore connects Tresaith with seven Irish princesses cast adrift in a boat. According to the tale, they came ashore here and married local farmers, giving an imaginative explanation for the village's name.

A place on the page

Allen Raine used a fictionalised Tresaith in The Welsh Witch. Combine a beach visit with the coast path towards neighbouring villages, checking tides and local conditions before exploring close to cliffs or entering the water.
