Darllen yn GymraegRead the Otherworld story of Pwyll and Arawn
In the First Branch of the Mabinogi, Pwyll's encounter with Arawn leads to an exchange between the human world and Annwfn. Glyn Cuch is associated with the opening of the tale in the wider Teifi region. These medieval stories cross modern county boundaries and offer literary connections, rather than a map of historical events.
A gift that starts a pursuit
Another tale concerns magical pigs given to Pryderi. Gwydion obtains the animals through deception, setting off conflict and a journey across Wales. Place names containing moch, the Welsh word for pigs, are linked with the story, including Nant y Moch.
