Discover Cwmtydu's cove and maritime history

Cwmtydu is a small coastal cove with a lime kiln and a history entwined with sea trade and smuggling stories. It is also a place where visitors may encounter seals. Treat the beach as shared wildlife habitat: view animals from a distance and follow any local access restrictions, particularly when pups are present.

Share the shore with wildlife

Grey seals use this stretch of coast, including beaches where pups may be present. Watch from a generous distance, keep dogs under control and allow animals clear access to the sea.

Look beyond the beach

The coast path opens up views of the cliffs and leads towards Castell Bach, with its Iron Age remains. The changing shoreline rewards quiet observation as much as a longer walk.
