Visit Mwnt beach below Foel y Mwnt

Mwnt combines a sandy cove, the rounded hill of Foel y Mwnt and the small Church of the Holy Cross. Steps lead down towards the beach, while higher paths provide views across Cardigan Bay. Check the National Trust's current access guidance if steep paths or steps may affect your visit.

A place of passage

The simple Church of the Holy Cross recalls the coast's religious connections. Traditions associate Mwnt with pilgrims travelling between important Welsh holy places and with the seafarers who used the bay.

Watch the water quietly

Dolphins and other marine wildlife may be visible from the headland. Bring binoculars, allow time and check current access and beach guidance before visiting.
